ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Teresa Pinedo, a Hawaii born designer, is recognized for her sultry fabrics, flattering silhouettes and versatile wardrobes, specifically designed for the well-travelled. Raised in the tropical beauty of Maui, her island life upbringing exposed her to the world of resort fashion early on. With Maui being a hotspot for influential global travelers, Teresa’s interest in resort wear, or “cruise fashion,” naturally blossomed.
Her passion for art, music, design, and travel developed organically from a young age. As a teenager, she began designing her own swimwear and jewelry, igniting her love for fashion and the creative arts. Teresa further honed her craft while working with renowned Canadian fashion designer Maggie Coulombe. Under Coulombe’s mentorship, Teresa gained invaluable experience in running a fashion house, styling celebrities, organizing fashion shows, and managing retail stores worldwide. It was during this time that she realized her true calling in the fashion industry.
"the women I design for are feminine, confident and cultured. I want them to feel comfortable but yet sultry and free in my designs. I want them to walk into a room and everyone has eyes on them." - Teresa Pinedo
In 2018, Teresa launched SAINT MOJAVI with a clear vision: to empower women across the globe through fashion. Her collections, which combine effortless sophistication with femininity, reflect her commitment to style and sustainability.
From Italy to Seoul, she sources luxurious, eco-friendly materials, including recycled fabrics and organic textiles, while also supporting sustainability through the use of "pre-loved" fabrics found in local markets. Reducing waste is a key principle in Teresa’s design philosophy, which is why her pieces are made in limited quantities and often on a made-to-order basis.
